The Bud Billiken® Parade celebrates a legacy of fun, community, and culture. Nearly 200 marching bands, drill teams, dance groups, tumblers, and gifted participants showcase their talent along historic South King Drive. The Bud Billiken Parade continues to be a powerful source of inspiration for our community. Finalists compete in four categories: Drill, Dance, Band, and Cheer. Each is judged on music, marching, spacing, synchronization, choreography, execution, technique, equipment difficulty, uniforms, overall showmanship, parade flow, adherence, and behavior.

Dance teams, drill teams, and marching bands travel from all over the country to participate in the historic Bud Billiken® Parade, consequently, travel costs, uniforms, and other necessities can exceed the means of locally-led groups. Please donate to a performance team or band, in return, they’ll be happy to carry your banner in the parade.
